Cinnamon Sugar Dough Bites (Edit recipe)

These little cinnamon sugary dough bites are one of my favorite snacks to quickly whip up. They're always cozy and comforting without being too sweet, requiring minimal effort. I have only tested this using the Trader Joe’s gluten free refrigerated pizza dough (but it’s possible it may work with others too). This treat has been on repeat for over a year now, and my daughter and hubby always love when they're fresh from the air fryer too - they never last around here! For more fun ideas using refrigerated pizza dough, try my Gluten Free Pizza Dough Garlic Bread Bites, Gluten Free Chocolate-Filled Cinnamon Sugar Bites, or Gluten Free Nutella Stuffed Dough Bites!!

Ingredients

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F.
  2. Divide the pizza dough into small portions and roll them into balls (about 8-10 pieces).
  3. Lightly coat the pizza dough balls with cooking spray.
  4. Add the cinnamon sugar cookie blend into a bowl, then toss the dough balls in it until they're fully coated.
  5. Place the coated dough balls in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, checking around 6 minutes for desired doneness and ensuring the dough is fully cooked inside. Shake the basket gently halfway through for even cooking.
  7. Once the dough is slightly golden on the outside, ensure it's fully cooked inside before removing them from the air fryer to enjoy while they're still warm!

Notes

Cooking time may fluctuate based on your air fryer and how large each of the dough bites are. The bigger they are, the more time they may require to cook, and the smaller they are, the less time they may need to cook. Giving them a shake halfway through allows for the most even cooking. Make sure they are fully cooked inside before devouring. These bites are best enjoyed while still warm - I'd recommend making them fresh rather than storing them once they're already made, as the texture will change once they're refrigerated and reheated. They're simple enough to quickly whip up when the mood strikes!
