Classic Margarita (Edit recipe)

Finally sharing a Classic Margarita recipe! The very first margarita I ever had was with Jose Cuevro with Jose Cuervo strawberry mix. It is almost a little painful for me to admit that to you all. I remember liking it at the time and probably because it was a sugar laden drink that didn’t actually taste like alcohol.

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and combine all the ingredients in the cocktail shaker.
  2. Shake until the outside of the shaker is frosted and contents are cold.
  3. Strain in to a glass filled with ice and serve.

Notes

1. You can add a little simple syrup if you wish to make it a little less tart. We sometimes chose to do that when the limes are on the more tart side. 2. Simple syrup is a 1:1 ratio of water to sugar. Dissolve the sugar in hot water and then store in the refrigerator in an airtight container. I like to use organic cane sugar or demerara sugar.
