Cornbread croutons (gf)
There's 3 types of people, those who eat their chili with rice or tortilla chips or cornbread. This is for the cornbread lovers. Taking day old cornbread and airfrying it to create crunch croutons.
Ingredients
- Small batch cornbread (gf) (click for recipe), Slice
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Jalapeño Pepper, Chopped, optional
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Mild Cheddar Cheese, Shredded

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results

- Next day cut one slice from the loaf
- Cut the slice in half horizontally
- Then cut the slice twice vertically creating 9 square pieces
- In an air fryer tray place corn bread croutons, jalapeños and cheddar cheese
- Set the airfryer to 350 degrees for 8 minutes or until crunchy
- Enjoy your croutons in a hot bowl of chili
Notes
You can cut one slice of cornbread to create 9 croutons for one serving. You can omit the jalapeños and cheese and just airfry the croutons if you'd prefer.
