These refined sugar free baklava shortbread bars are heavenly! They are made with wholesome ingredients and support a balanced blood sugar without compromising that delicious honey taste.
Ingredients
Base

- .25 tsp.25 tsp.25 tsp Vanilla Extract
Nut Topping
- .333 cup.333 cup.333 cup Pistachios, Raw
- .333 cup.333 cup.333 cup Walnuts, or pecans
- .25 tsp.25 tsp.25 tsp Salt
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Butter, Unsalted, grass-fed, melted
- .5 tsp.5 tsp.5 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
Syrup
- .333 cup.333 cup.333 cup Honey
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Water
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- .125 tsp.125 tsp.125 tsp Salt
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit
- Combine base ingredients and press into 8x8
- Bake for 15 minutes
- Combine nut topping and spread onto base
- Bake for 18 minutes
- Bring honey mixture to a boil and reduce to simmer for 5 minutes. pour on top of it all once out of oven
- Let cool to set for at least an hour
