Chocolate Covered Popcorn (Edit recipe)

The sweet and salty combo of chocolate-covered popcorn is unmatched! It's hard to stop after just a few bites... If you've never made your own popcorn before, it's so simple. Just grab an air popper (like this one which we've had for years), some popping kernels and you're on your way!

Ingredients

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Pop your popcorn kernels in an air popper (or you can follow stovetop methods if that's more your thing!)
  2. While the popcorn is popping, melt your chocolate chips in the microwave at 70% power in increments of 30 seconds, stirring in between until fully melted.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, add some of the popcorn. It may be easiest to do this in a few smaller batches. Drizzle some of the chocolate on top of the popcorn, giving it a toss to evenly distribute the chocolate. Repeat these steps until all popcorn is coated with chocolate.
  4. Sprinkle in a pinch or two of salt, then give it a final toss.
  5. Place into the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes until the chocolate sets.
  6. It's ready to enjoy once it's cooled!
