There's not a game day party worth attending if it doesn't have a cheese ball on the appetizer table. This sweetened version of a Granola Cheese Ball with Strawberry & Date includes some natural sweetness from Nana Joes Sunset Blend granola, along with strawberry preserves and chopped dates. You can easily make this the night before and roll it into the granola right before the big game or anytime you need a delicious appetizer to satisfy your sweet tooth. I like to serve this on a small platter with toasted bagel chips and fresh strawberries to give a hint to the flavor inside.

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Add 8 ounces cream cheese and 4 ounces goat cheese to a large bowl. Cream together with a hand mixer until combined, about 1 to 2 minutes. Scrape down sides of the bowl with a spatula.
  2. Add in 2 tablespoons strawberry preserves and 1 tablespoon lemon zest and continue to mix until just combined.
  3. Fold in chopped dates. Shape into a ball, wrap in plastic and store in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, up to overnight.
  4. When ready to serve, roll it into Nana Joes granola or use your hands to evenly press granola to cover the exterior.
  5. Serve with fresh-cut strawberries and bagel chips.

Notes

Additional add-ins could include diced, dried apricots or dried cranberries.
