Healthier Unicorn Dip
This unicorn dip is such a fun treat for the littles and the girls in your life! It's naturally colored, it's low sugar, and has a hefty protein boost, too! Dip with strawberries, apple slices, animal crackers or nilla wafers (both of which I have homemade gluten free & better-for-you recipes for!). It also tasted great with Siete strawberry wafer cookies!
I used my favorite clean ingredient and nourishing protein powder from Just Ingredients here. Code colleenF10 saves you sitewide!

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Make homemade whipped cream by chilling a mixing bowl, then add all ingredients to the bowl
- use a stand or electric hand mixer to whip everything together. After about 5-7 minutes it will be thick, fluffy and just like whipped cream!
- If using a hand mixer take a break half way through and place the bowl back in the freezer for 5-10minutes
- Once you've got the ideal whipped cream texture, add your cream cheese and strawberry protein powder, whip until everything is combined
- If doing multi-color pour some of your finished mixture in a separate bowl and whip in a tiny pinch of blue spirulina or natural blue colorant until purple shade is achieved. Swirl in to the serving bowl with the pink
- See notes for subs and tips!
Notes
Can make this dairy free by using coconut cream and vegan cream cheese I used organic heavy cream and organic probiotic rich cream cheese (Nancy's brand) to keep it as nourishing as possible if you don't have strawberry protein powder you can use vanilla protein powder plus 2-3 tbsp of freeze dried strawberry or raspberry powder yes you can use store bought whipped cream here (8oz worth), but homemade is pretty easy, made with better ingredients, and tastes way better in my opinion!
