homemade cold brew concentrate
i’ve been making my own cold brew concentrate for years — & honestly? it’s smoother, stronger, & way more cost effective than anything store-bought ☕️💸 just grind, steep, & sip all week long.
plus, i added my morning salty brew variation:
it’s how i start every morning — a little extra hydration from the electrolytes, a little boost from the caffeine, & a whole lot of good energy 💛

cold brew concentrate
- first gather all your ingredients: coffee beans, water, coffee grinder (I use OXO brew conical burr coffee grinder), & cold brew maker (I use 2, 64 oz. county line kitchen glass cold brew coffee makers).
- to a conical burr coffee grinder, add coffee beans.
- set the grinder size on your coffee grinder to coarse (on mine, I use setting 13).
- grind coffee beans, then fill mesh coffee filters about ¾ of the wall full & place in glass jars.
- slowly pour water over top ground coffee.
- add lid to jar, then let sit for 16-20 hours at room temperature.
- once the concentrate is fully brewed, remove mesh filter from jar & place in a bowl to collect any other concentrate & pour back into jar.
- add lid to concentrate jar, then store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
salty cold brew
- to your coffee cup, mix 8 oz. of cold brew concentrate + 12-16 oz. water + ½-1 unflavored packet LMNT + pinch of monk fruit for a delicious, hydrating, morning brew!
- to make regular brew, just mix 8 oz. concentrate + 12-16 oz. water + anything else you may enjoy in your coffee!
