donāt get me wrong ā a classic jalapeƱo popper is fantastic. BUT sometimes the bacon isnāt crispy enough⦠or you just want a scoopable, dunkable, crowd-pleasing dip situation. š§š„
enter: jalapeƱo popper protein dip. all the creamy, cheesy, spicy goodness you love, just deconstructed into a warm, bubbly dip ā & of course, I had to level it up with blended cottage cheese for extra protein. studded with jalapeƱos, crispy bacon, melty pepper jack, & finished with a crunchy fit joy cheddar pretzel topping for that perfect popper bite in every scoop.
serve it with chips, pretzels, veggies⦠or honestly just a spoon! š„š¶ļøāØ
Ingredients
- 8 oz8 oz8 oz Cream Cheese, Light, softened
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Cottage Cheese, pureed
- 2-4 Tbsp2-4 Tbsp2-4 Tbsp JalapeƱo Botana Sauce - Siete Foods, optional

- 1/2 tsp1/2 tsp1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

- 1/2 tsp1/2 tsp1/2 tsp Onion Powder

- 1/2 tsp1/2 tsp1/2 tsp JalapeƱo Smoked Salt - Texas Salt Co., or salt flavor of choice

- 1/4 tsp1/4 tsp1/4 tsp Black Pepper

- 6-8 oz6-8 oz6-8 oz Pepper Jack Cheese, or cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup JalapeƱo Pepper, finely chopped
- 4-6 oz4-6 oz4-6 oz oven-baked bacon (click for recipe), finely chopped
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Grain-Free Pretzel Twists, Cheezy White Cheddar ā Fit Joy, finely crushed

- preheat oven to 400.
- in a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, puréed cottage cheese, hot sauce, seasonings & ~¾ of the cheese.
- fold in jalapeƱos & bacon.
- transfer dip to a cast iron skillet, then top with more cheese & crushed pretzels.
- bake for 20-25 minutes, with the option to broil for the last 3-5 minutes.
- dip with your favorite tortilla chip, sweet potato chips, pretzels, veggies, or just grab a spoonful!
