Pesto Aioli
While traditional aioli is a combination of oil, egg yolks, garlic, lemon, and I believe mustard, my cheater's aioli is mayonnaise based and super simple. Fresh pesto gives the aioli this gorgeous green colour, along with lemon, garlic, and fresh basil. Spread or dip to your heart's content <3
Ingredients
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 clove1 clove1 clove Garlic, crushed & finely minced / pressed
- 0.5 whole0.5 whole0.5 whole Lemon, juice
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Basil, Fresh, torn or roughly chopped
- 1 pinch1 pinch1 pinch Red Pepper Flakes, More To Taste
- 0.125 tsp0.125 tsp0.125 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt, More To Taste
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Black Peppercorns, Ground Fresh, To Taste

- If you're making my Pesto recipe from scratch, do so as the first step. If you're using a store-bought pesto, move on to the next step.
- Add everything to a mixing bowl and whisk together until creamy and combined. Taste and adjust the salt, pepper, or lemon to your liking. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes before using.
- This aioli will keep in the fridge for 7ish days approximately. Use as a spread on sandwiches or burgers, or as a dip for fries or crispy, fresh veggies. ENJOY!
