Roasted Turkey & Fig Sandwich
The quintessential fall meal in my opinion is a hearty soup and sandwich combo! My roasted Turkey & Fig Sandwich is great on it's own but even better with my Butternut Squash & Caramelized Onion Soup!
Ingredients
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Gluten-Free Baguette
- 5 oz5 oz5 oz Deli Turkey
- 2 oz2 oz2 oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Butter, Unsalted
- 4 Tbsp4 Tbsp4 Tbsp Fig Chutney
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Lettuce, Spring Mix Salad Greens

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat your oven on the broil setting.
- Cut your baguette in half and generously cover both sides with butter, fig jam, and your sharp cheddar cheese.
- Layer your roasted turkey on one half of the bread and place the baguettes on a baking sheet
- Place in the oven under the broiler for 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is nice and melty.
- Remove the baguette from the oven and add your mixed greens on one half of the sandwich.
- Slice baguette into 4 sections and serve with the soup!
Notes
This is the sort of recipe where you can just measure with your heart! Want more or less cheese? Follow your heart! Not a huge fan of mixed greens on a sandwich? Keep it off!
