Spicy Italian Sausage & Peppers
This dish is a classic in the Italian culture and was a staple in my Nonna & Nonno's home. Be sure to serve up my spicy Italian sausage and peppers recipe with a side of old country-styled bread. You're going to love it!
Ingredients
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Hot Italian Sausage, (you can use mild if you don't like spice!)
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Salt and Pepper, (to taste)
- 5 Tbsp5 Tbsp5 Tbsp Tuscan Herbs Infused Olive Oil (Zoë Olive Oil), (for garnish and frying)
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Onion, sliced
- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Red Bell Pepper, sliced
- 3 whole3 whole3 whole Green Bell Peppers, sliced
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Bread, (italian bread)

Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Slice sausage, onion and peppers and set aside
- Add oil to a saucepan and bring it to medium heat
- Sautée together the onion, peppers and sausage into the pan along with the seasonings
- Mix well and continue to sautée until sausage has a nice crisp to it
- Serve while topping it off with more oil and enjoy
