Steak Marinade (Edit recipe)

About 20 years ago we were at a beach park here in Hawai’i and I smelled the most amazing BBQ. Never being afraid to talk to a stranger I went over and talked to the guy grilling. He very kindly shared his marinade recipe with me. He used shoyu (soy sauce) but I have exchanged that for coconut aminos. This is always my go to steak marinade and everyone loves it. Hope you enjoy.

Notes

You can use any cut of steak but my favorites are tri-tip, New York strip, or ribeye.
