A light and refreshing non-alcoholic drink for the summer season using fresh strawberries, lemonade and fresh basil.

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Trim the top and slice the 4 strawberries in half then place them into a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add the 8-9 basil leaves to the cocktail shaker.
  3. Add 1/2 tsp of sugar to the strawberries and basil.
  4. Using a muddler muddle the strawberries, basil and sugar, until the strawberries are really mushy.
  5. Add the 1 cup of lemonade and a bit of ice to the cocktail shaker add the top to the shaker and shake until the ingredients are combined.
  6. Fill a glass with ice.
  7. Strain the lemonade mixture over the ice using a fine mesh or hawthorne strainer.
  8. Top with a small splash of club soda or seltzer water.
  9. Garnish with a sprig of basil

Notes

Use large strawberries. Use a fine mesh or Hawthorne strainer to strain the mixture into the glass.
