- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Chicken Broth, can sub with veggie broth

- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Olive Oil

- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Pumpkin Seeds, for garnishing, optional

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Coriander, Ground
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Cumin, Ground

- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Black Peppercorns, Ground Fresh

- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Chili Powder
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Turmeric Powder

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Salt

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Heat olive oil in a pot on medium heat
- Add diced onions, grated ginger and minced garlic and sauté for 5 minutes
- Now add the sweet potato and carrots and sauté on low for 10 minutes
- Add the broth, all the spices and salt and cover with a lid
- Simmer for 20-25 minutes till both sweet potatoes and carrots are tender
- Add Maizly corn milk and let everything cool down a bit
- Blend with a hand blender or a regular blender to a velvety soupy consistency , if you want to make the consistency thinner you can add more corn milk
- Serve garnished with pumpkin seeds, a sprinkle of chili powder and a splash of corn milk
