Trader Joe’s Calabrian Chili Pasta
For when you're looking for a pasta dish a little fancier than a penne vodka, but on a budget and with the same cozy, delicious taste. Add shrimp, lobster, or chicken for a full well-rounded meal!
Ingredients
- 10 oz10 oz10 oz Pappardelle Pasta
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Calabrian Chili Spread, crushed
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Organic Minced Garlic - The Spice Lab

- 9 oz9 oz9 oz Vodka Sauce
- .25 cup.25 cup.25 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated

- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Parsley, for garnish

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Salt and Pepper

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup of pasta water.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the Calabrian chilis and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Pour in the vodka sauce and stir to combine. Allow it to simmer for 3-5 minutes to heat through. Add salt and pepper if you like.
- Once the pasta is cooked, transfer the noodles to the sauce, tossing gently to coat. Slowly mix in the pasta water ¼ cup at a time until you’ve reached a glossy consistency.
- Stir in the grated parmesan cheese, then divide the pasta between bowls and garnish with fresh parsley and more parmesan cheese.
Notes
If you want a creamier texture, you can stir in a little heavy cream or half and half.
