Tuna Salad
This tuna salad is the perfect combo of spice, sweetness from relish, and brightness from the lemon. Packed with protein, crunchy celery, and onion for texture, it’s great on a salad, as a snack, or even in a classic tuna melt. Simple, flavorful, and versatile!
Ingredients
- 333 Tuna, Canned, albacore, 3 cans
- .333 cup.333 cup.333 cup Avocado Oil Mayonnaise
- .25 cup.25 cup.25 cup White Onion, minced, about 1/2 small white onion
- .25 cup.25 cup.25 cup Celery, minced, peel outer skin, about 1 large stalk
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Lemon Juice, about 1/2 medium-sized lemon
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Sweet Relish
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp White Vinegar, Distilled
- 444 Hot Sauce, I used Crystal hot sauce
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Salt, I used Diamond kosher salt
- .25 tsp.25 tsp.25 tsp Black Pepper
- .25 tsp.25 tsp.25 tsp Garlic Powder
- .25 tsp.25 tsp.25 tsp Paprika
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Start by chopping the celery and onion. Set them aside.
- Open the tuna cans and drain the water. Transfer the tuna to a medium-sized bowl and use a spoon to break it down into small pieces.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix everything together until well combined.
- Enjoy as is, on top of a salad, or in a delicious tuna melt!
Notes
One of my favorite Albacore tuna brands is Wild Planet. This tuna salad keeps well in the fridge for a few days, making it a great option to prep in advance for a quick, protein-packed meal whenever you need it.
