Valentine’s Date Caramel Twix Hearts
These hearts are absolutely incredible! Seriously, the crunch with the chocolate topping, the creamy date caramel, and the buttery shortbread is simply perfection-and ofc much better than a store-bought twix….
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Coconut Flour
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Butter, Unsalted, melted
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Medjool Date Syrup
- 16 whole16 whole16 whole Medjool Dates, pitted
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Water
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Real Salt - Redmond
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Dark Chocolate Gems - Hu, I used 1 bar of Oobli salty dark
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Coconut Oil

Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- In a bowl, fold together shortbread ingredients
- Press into prepared heart molds
- Bake for 8 minutes and let cool a bit
- Add date caramel ingredients to a processor and blend (you will probably have extra that you can store in fridge)
- Dollop some date caramel into each heart
- Melt chocolate with coconut oil and pour into each
- Place in freezer for 30 minutes-1 hour to set
