Workout Water (Edit recipe)

The base of this beverage is coconut water, which has been used as a sports drink due to its potassium content. Fresh orange juice adds Vitamin C and natural sweetness, and I include 1 whole orange for fiber to help regulate blood sugar. Hibiscus tea has a floral flavor that works perfectly with the other ingredients, but it is also a source of antioxidants and has been shown to lower blood pressure. However, you can absolutely substitute with another tea of your choosing!

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. In a small sauce pot, combine water, tea bags and honey. Heat to medium until honey dissolves completely and tea starts to steep (you will see color bleed out of the tea bag). Remove from heat and set aside. Remove and discard tea bags after 5 minutes.
  2. In a large blender, combine, coconut water, orange juice, whole orange, tea and sea salt. Blender until ingredients are incorporated and liquid is smooth. Store tightly and keep refrigerated. Mixture will last for 1 week in the fridge.
