Gluten Free Chocolate Sourdough Bread
Once you have gotten the hang of making your own Gluten Free Sourdough Bread, it is time to start experimenting with mix-ins! Sourdough lends itself well to sweet or savory mix-ins, and the possibilities are endless! My most asked for sourdough bread customization has been for a chocolate sourdough! My gluten free chocolate sourdough loaf is perfect on it's own but extra tasty made into french toast!
Ingredients
- 2 cups2 cups2 cups Gluten-Free Flour, I use King Arthur Gluten Free Measure for Measure Flour

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Salt

- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Cocoa Powder, unsweetened

- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Espresso Powder
- 1.5 cups1.5 cups1.5 cups Water
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Psyllium Husk, Whole
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Olive Oil

- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Gluten Free Sourdough Starter (click for recipe)
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Milk

- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp White Rice Flour

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Prep your sourdough loaf as normal per my sourdough instructions (linked in the description). Sift the Unsweetened Cocoa Powder into the flour.
- Add in the chocolate chips before the final proof.
- Bake as normal!
