Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results

To Prepare:

  1. (Cabbage)
  2. - in a large pot, boil water on high heat.
  3. - place cabbage inside pot and allowed to cook for 10-12 minutes to soften leaves.
  4. - remove cabbage from water and allow to cool.
  5. - use a knife to release leaves from bottom stem.
  6. - select the largest and most tender leaves to roll pork with. Reserve, smaller and harder leaves for cooking process.
  7. - use a scissor to remove the thick end of the stem on each leaf.
  8. Beef or Pork:
  9. - combine all ingredients in pork section and mix until meat and rice are blended evenly.
  10. - use 1/4 cup measuring spoon to portion meat into each leaf.
  11. - roll meat into cabbage leaves and repeat process until no pork is left.

Cooking:

  1. - set slow cooker on low heat.
  2. - line bottom with some of the leftover cabbage leaves.
  3. - place cabbage rolls into slow cooker, separating each layer with sliced onion.
  4. - cover with all ingredients listed in the tomato sauce ingredient section.
  5. - allow to cook for 6-8 hours

Plating:

  1. - serve with dipping sauce (ingredients above) and fresh dill on top.
