I make a lot of soup, but if there is one soup I recommend for you to try this season, it's this Italian Sausage Soup. It is truly the tastiest soup I make. Even my husband, who isn't the biggest soup guy, is always excited for this one. I do attribute how tasty it is to the seasoning I use, so you can opt to use your own, or grab Just Spices Italian Allrounder Italian seasoning. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Add olive oil to a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Once hot, add italian sausage and cook until browned. Remove with a slated spoon and set aside.
  3. Add onion, celery and garlic to the existing olive oil and grease. Cook until starting to soften.
  4. Add cooked sausage, orzo, tomatoes, broth, and italian seasoning to the pot, and combine.
  5. Bring this to a rolling boil, then lower to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until orzo is cooked. You can add water if you find the broth gets soaked up more than you like.
  6. Serve with fresh grated parmesan cheese, and toasted bread with butter.
  7. Enjoy!
