Move over fried oreos! These fried dates are a much healthier alternative and so delicious!!

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Take pitted dates and stuff with frosting, set aside.
  2. For chocolate date dip, add all ingredients to a small blender, blend and set aside.
  3. For breading, add flour, maple sugar, baking powder, and salt to a bowl and combine.
  4. In a separate small bowl, add egg and milk and combine, then add this to dry ingredients mixing until well combined.
  5. In a pot, heat avocado oil and have your dates and batter on the side ready to go.
  6. Coat each date in the batter and fry for a couple of minutes. Plate fried dates and top with powdered sugar. Warm up chocolate date dipping sauce and serve with fried dates.

Notes

You can use any sugar for the batter and non-dairy milk should work too!
