Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results

toasted portion

  1. preheat oven to 325.
  2. add cereal to a sheet pan.
  3. to a separate sheet pan, add cooked bacon, pecans, monk fruit, & smoked salt.
  4. "toast" the cereal & bacon/pecan mixture for 8-10 minutes or until slightly golden & fragrant.

remaining puppy chow

  1. to a saucepan, melt peanut butter & dark chocolate & chocolate caramel chips over low heat.
  2. to a large bowl, add toasted cereal, pretzels, & any freeze-dried fruit, then pour on melted peanut butter & chocolate mixture; combine.
  3. fold in toasted bacon/pecan mixture & max mallows.
  4. pour onto a lined baking sheet & refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.
  5. add puppy chow & protein powder to a giant plastic bag or a giant bowl; mix well.
  6. freeze for at least 30 minutes & store puppy chow in the freezer.
