Gluten Free Apple Cider Donuts
We lived in Kentucky for several years and in the fall our favorite farm always sold apple cider donuts. So decadent and moist - the flavors of fall. Apple, cinnamon, sugar…oh my. Enjoy

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat oven to 335 degrees.
- Prepare a nonstick donut pan by oiling each well, set aside.
- In a large bowl add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Stir to combine.
- Add in the butter and eggs. Stir to combine.
- Slowly add the apple cider and stir until everything is smooth.
- Using a pastry bag or plastic bag pour about half the batter into the bag and cut off the end at about 1/2”.
- Carefully pour the batter into each donut well until it is about half full.
- Bake for 12 minutes, turn pan around half way through so they bake more evenly.
- Let donuts cool for 4-5 minutes.
- I like to use a mini spatula and go around the outside of each donut to help them release better. Turn upside down onto a large cookie sheet.
- Re-oil pan and repeat with other half of batter.
- Once the second batch is in the oven immediately you want to gently put each donut into the cinnamon sugar to coat. You can do this by using a shallow dish and you can coat one or both sides as you like.
Notes
For the cinnamon sugar if you don’t have the blend you can use 1/3 cup granulated or maple sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Stir with a spoon to mix well. Set aside.
