Christmas Brussels Sprouts
My husband refers to this dish as Italian Brussels sprouts because of the green and red on the white plate. He loves all things Italy. This side dish comes together in about 15 minutes and is a pretty addition to your table.
Ingredients
- 4 cups4 cups4 cups Brussels Sprouts, Cut in half and outer leaves removed
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Sea Salt
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Salted Butter
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Dijon Mustard
- 2 cloves2 cloves2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Pomegranate, Deseed the fruit
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp fresh Thyme

- In a cast iron skillet on medium heat, let heat up for 3 minutes.
- Add oil and Brussels sprouts and salt, move around to be flat and in one layer in pan.
- Let cook undisturbed for 5-6 minutes.
- Stir and add butter, mustard, and garlic. Let cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Check doneness, golden brown to slightly charred is your choice.
- Remove from heat and add pomegranate seeds and thyme, stir and enjoy.
