Dairy Free French Onion Dip

Caramelized Onions

Cream Base
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Silken Tofu, 1 block
- .25 cup.25 cup.25 cup Plant-Based Plain Yogurt
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Chicken Bone Broth, Low Sodium - Bare Bones, 1 package
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Smoked Paprika
- .5 tsp.5 tsp.5 tsp Garlic Powder
- .5 tsp.5 tsp.5 tsp Onion Powder

- Caramelize the Onions:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and salt, stirring occasionally, for about 20-30 minutes. Reduce heat if they brown too quickly.
- Once golden and caramelized, stir in balsamic vinegar and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Blend the Dip Base:
- In a blender, combine tofu, plant-based yogurt, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, broth package, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Transfer the blended dip to a mixing bowl. Fold in the caramelized onions, reserving a small amount for garnish if desired.
- Refrigerate the dip for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
