Easy Chicken Gyro (Edit recipe)

looking ways to simplify grilling? I always do my best to really add less ingredients and but still find ways to make everything great tasting. Grilling season is for everyone and so is this recipe that'll take you to Greece. I modified a traditional greek gyro, but added my little spin on it.

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Pad dry your chicken and add your oil, garlic, shallot & seasonings.
  2. Mix well, cover and place in the fridge to marinate for at least an hour or overnight.
  3. Remove from refrigerator, and let it sit out at room temperature for 30 mins to remove the chill.
  4. Turn on your grill to high heat, then reduce to medium.
  5. Clean and season your grill with an onion.
  6. Place your chicken down and hear that sizzle .
  7. If it doesn’t sizzle, its not hot enough.
  8. Cook on each side for about 5 mins flipping only once.
  9. If you are using a thermometer, make sure its reaches 165F.
  10. Remove from grill and let chicken relax for 5-10 mins .
  11. Chop up your chicken.
  12. Season your pita with olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, salt and black pepper then toast it.
  13. Add your chicken and toppings
  14. serve and enjoy!
