Easy Easter Bread
You are about to experience the easiest and fluffiest Easter bread. Trying Easter breads from different bakeries had me hating them. They were dry, crumbly & lacked in flavour. I have developed a recipe that will knock your socks off!
Ingredients
- 0.75 cup0.75 cup0.75 cup Whole Milk
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Cane Sugar
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Active Dry Yeast
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Egg
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Egg Yolk
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Cane Sugar
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Butter, Salted

- 381 grams381 grams381 grams Bread Flour

- .5 tsp.5 tsp.5 tsp Sea Salt

- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Egg, For egg wash
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Whole Milk, For egg wash

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- In a large bowl, add your warm milk, 1 tbs of sugar and yeast.
- Mix and let it sit for 10 mins until it foams up.
- In a seperate bowl , add your flour and salt and whisk.
- Back to your wet mixture, add your sugar, melted butter & eggs.
- Give that a good mix.
- Then pour your dry into your wet, mix, then knead for 10 mins until it comes together.
- If your dough gets too sticky, add additional 1-2 tbs of flour.
- Once dough ball is formed, cover it and leave alone for 1-2 hours or until doubles in size.
- Punch down dough and place on clean surface.
- Divide dough into 3 even pieces and roll into logs.
- Pinch top, then start to braid.
- Once braided, pinch bottom to seal.
- Cover it again for another 45 mins.
- Remove cover, then Brush with egg wash and top with a sprinkle of sugar.
- In the oven at 350F for 27-30 mins.
- Let it cool 10 - 15 mins.
- Serve and enjoy!
- Divide you dough into 3. and roll into logs about this big
- Then line up the logs in press in top to seal, then start to braid.
- This is also me struggling to braid
- Press other end to seal
- over it, love it & leave it alone for another 45 mins
- Then remove towel & plastic
- Brush egg wash and sprinkle some granulated suga
- in then oven for 27 - 30 mins at 350 degree
- Cool for 10 to 15 mins serve and enjoy
