Gluten Free Creamy Garlic Pasta with Tomato & Basil
My Creamy Garlic Pasta with Tomato and Basil tastes like your favorite dish from your favorite Italian restaurant. Pair it with my Cast Iron Grilled Shrimp and you have a five star meal on your hands!
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Olive Oil, Graza is my favorite!
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 7 cloves7 cloves7 cloves Garlic
- 0.50.50.5 Yellow Onion
- 1 pint1 pint1 pint Grape Tomatoes
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Chicken Broth
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Heavy Cream (Whipping Cream)
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp fresh Basil
- 111 Gluten Free Spaghetti (Jovial)

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Place a large skillet on the stove over medium heat. Add in the olive oil and butter. Place a large pot of water on the stove as well and fill it with water to cook your pasta.
- Roughly chop 6-7 cloves of garlic, dice half a yellow onion, and halve the cherry tomatoes. Once the olive oil and butter are hot, add in the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant. Then add in the yellow onion and cook until translucent. Follow this up by adding in the cherry tomatoes and cook until they begin to soften. Season with salt and pepper.
- By this point, the water should be boiling, so begin to cook your spaghetti.
- Into your skillet, add in the tomato paste and cook for 2-3 minutes. Pour in a cup of chicken broth to deglaze the pan and let simmer. Then pour in your heavy cream. Stir until combined.
- When you have 1-2 minutes left on the pasta, add your parmesan (freshly grated is preferred here!) to the skillet along with the fresh basil.
- Once the pasta is done, drain the water and add the pasta straight into the sauce.
- Serve with your favorite protein (check out my Cast Iron Grilled Shrimp for the perfect pairing) and top generously with more grated parmesan and fresh basil.
