Gluten Free Pizza Burgers
Is there anything better than combining your two favorite foods? Well that's what I have done with my gluten free pizza burgers! The combo of ground beef and ground pork make for the perfect burger! Plus it's hard to beat melted mozzarella and crispy pepperoni on the perfect gluten free bun!
Ingredients
- 12 oz12 oz12 oz US Wellness Meats Ground Beef (85% Lean), 85/10 or leaner
- 4 oz4 oz4 oz Ground Pork
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp dried Basil
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp dried Oregano
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Black Pepper
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Salt
- 444 Hamburger Buns, I love the gluten free buns from O'doughs
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Pizza Sauce
- 8 pieces8 pieces8 pieces Fresh Mozzarella, thinly sliced
- 16 pieces16 pieces16 pieces Pepperoni

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- In a large bowl combine your ground beef and ground pork until they are well blended. Then add in the seasonings. Shape into 4 evenly sized patties and set aside.
- Place a pan on the stove over medium heat. Once hot, place your patties in the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until you reach desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prep your toppings and the oven:
- Warm up your pizza sauce on the stove or in a microwave.
- Slice your fresh mozzarella into thin slices.
- Slice open your burger buns.
- Turn your broiler on high.
- Take your burger buns and lay them on a baking sheet. On the bottom bun, spread some of the pizza sauce and lay down a piece of mozzarella. Place the buns under the broiler until they get toasted and the mozzarella starts to bubble.
- Pull the buns back out of the oven and take the tops off of the pan.
- Place a burger patty on top of the melted cheese on the bottom bun. Then top the burger with a little bit more sauce, mozzarella, and the pepperoni slices. Place back under the broiler until the cheese is melted!
- Serve immediately so the buns don’t get soggy and enjoy!
