Grilled Cheese Veggie Burger
Kick your grilled cheese up a notch by adding a delicious, filling Black Bean veggie burger! Make it your own by using your favorite cheese/bread combo.
Ingredients
- 222 Black Bean Veggie Burger - Actual Veggies
- 4 pieces4 pieces4 pieces Bread
- 1.25 cups1.25 cups1.25 cups Gruyere Cheese, shredded
- 4 Tbsp4 Tbsp4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat oven to 400 f and line a baking sheet.
- Place 2 Actual Veggies Black Bean Veggie Burgers (thawed) on the baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes, if cooking from frozen add an additional 3 minutes.
- While the veggie burgers are baking, spread 1/2 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place the butter side down and sprinkle the 4 slices of bread with cheese.
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Add the 4 slices of bread to the pan, butter side down. Cook until the bread looks golden and crisp. The cheese should be melting, cover with a lid to help the cheese melt faster.
- Once the burgers are ready place on top of the bread.
- Top the burger with the other slice of bread and continue to cook until the cheese has completely melted.
