These are the easiest and most delicious protein bagels!  The heart shape is the perfect touch for Valentine’s Day! No yeast, proofing, or kneading required.

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, yogurt, honey, baking powder, salt, dates, fold in chocolate chips.
  3. Once dough comes together, cut into four pieces, roll them and shape into hearts. If dough is too sticky, add a little bit of flour to it as needed.
  4. Boil water in a pot and add baking soda and honey or maple syrup to the water to sweeten a bit. Transfer bagels to the boiling water and allow them to cook for 30 seconds on each side. Transfer bagels to a parchment lined baking sheet.
  5. Brush bagels with an egg wash or with some avocado oil.
  6. Bake the bagels for 20-25 minutes. Might need less or more time depending on your oven!
  7. Once bagels have finished baking, remove them from the oven enjoy!
