Ingredients
- 4 pieces4 pieces4 pieces Chicken Thighs, Boneless Skinless

- 4 pieces4 pieces4 pieces Classic Burger Buns - Hero

- 12 - 16 pieces12 - 16 pieces12 - 16 pieces Pickles, sliced

- .25 cup.25 cup.25 cup Onion, thinly sliced
- 4 Tbsp4 Tbsp4 Tbsp Easy Sugar-Free BBQ Sauce (click for recipe), bbq sauce of choice here
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Hot Honey

- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Cornflakes, crushed
- 4 tsp4 tsp4 tsp Garlic Powder

- 4 tsp4 tsp4 tsp Paprika

- .25 cup.25 cup.25 cup Egg Whites
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Butter, Unsalted - Kerrygold
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Soffritto Italian Seasoning Blend - Trader Joe's

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Season the chicken pieces on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika heavily.
- Mix crushed corn flakes in a shallow dish with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Take another shallow dish and add egg whites to it.
- Spray Air fryer tray with oil spray.
- Dip the chicken piece in the egg white mixture and then quickly into the corn flakes mixture.
- Place on air fryer tray.
- Continue doing that until all pieces are coated and on the tray.
- Place in air fryer at 380 degrees for 12-15 minutes, flip halfway through. Spray the other side of chicken when flipping so that it continues to brown.
- While chicken is cooking, mix together bbq sauce of choice & hot honey.
- Slice onions and pickles.
- Once chicken is done, toast the hamburger buns.
- Butter tops of buns and season with any Italian Seasoning (I use the TJ one)
- Top with Chicken, onions, pickles.
- Enjoy!
Notes
If you like spicy, use a spicy bbq sauce like a habanero or add more hot sauce to the sauce mixture. You can substitute the chicken thighs for thin sliced chicken breasts. I find thin sliced chicken breasts cook better and tend to get crispier and not dry out.
