shortbread crust + creamy salted caramel + luxurious chocolate topping = the best homemade twix bites ever! i LOVED twix bars as a kid & this recreation in a mini bites is oh so delicious. you could also make these in a 9X13 dish, then just cut them into bars or bites!

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. preheat oven to 350.
  2. in a bowl, combine all crust ingredients.
  3. add small muffin liners or grease a mini muffin tin.
  4. add 1 small cookie scoop of crust mixture to the bottom of a muffin tin.
  5. bake for ~8 minutes; let cool completely.
  6. to a food processor, add salted caramel ingredients.
  7. slowly add a little water as needed to thin out a bit.
  8. add ~1 tsp. salted caramel to the crust.
  9. melt chocolate, then add a small amount to each bite.
  10. add a sprinkle of salt (I add it after doing about 3-4 or before chocolate hardens).
  11. refrigerate or freeze until chocolate hardens & store in the freezer.
