Mozzarella, Prosciutto & Basil Baguettes
A light bite from the room temperature mozzarella, saltiness and heaven from the prosciutto, fresh basil and a garlicky baguette, all countered by a slightly tangy, slightly sweet balsamic. I could eat this every day.
Ingredients
- 111 Gluten-free Baguette
- 1 lb1 lb1 lb Fresh Mozzarella
- 1/2 lb1/2 lb1/2 lb Prosciutto
- 1 clove1 clove1 clove Garlic, cut in half
- 1 bunch1 bunch1 bunch fresh Basil
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Organic Balsamic Glaze, or balsamic reduction
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Lightly toast a baguette and slice into 1/8 inch slices.
- After taking them out of the oven, gently rub the cut side of a garlic clove over each slice 2–3 times for a subtle, aromatic flavor.
- Layer a slice of mozzarella on each piece of toast, ensuring it matches the size of the bread.On top of the mozzarella, place a basil leaf.
- Add a fresh basil leaf on top of the mozzarella, followed by half a slice of prosciutto.
- Finish with a drizzle of balsamic glaze on top and enjoy!
