Sausage and Sauerkraut Skillet
Ingredients
- 4 whole4 whole4 whole Smoked Chicken and Apple Sausage Links (Aidells)
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Sauerkraut
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole organic Apple, thinly sliced
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Red Onion, thinly sliced
- 1 - 2 Tbsp1 - 2 Tbsp1 - 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil - Kosterina
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Thyme

- Grill, pan-sear, or bake the apple chicken sausages until fully cooked and golden brown. Set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil
- Add the sliced apples and red onion, cooking until softened and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add your choice of Kraut to the apple/onion mixture and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add the sausage back in and stir well.
- Sprinkle with fresh thyme or parsley if desired.
- Serve as is or pair with roasted potatoes , cauliflower rice or a side salad for a complete meal.
