- Mix together ground turkey, Spicewalla seasoning, crushed garlic, cumin, dry red chili, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- Chop your vegetables
- Get your working station ready. Warm a flat pan on medium heat. Take out your tortillas and cheese to have ready next to you.
- Spray the pan with oil.
- Take a fist size ball of the turkey mixture and begin pressing onto the tortilla in a circular motion until the meat is mostly spread thinly on the tortilla.
- Place the tortilla with the meat on it (meat side down) onto the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, then flip.
- Turn down heat slightly, and start to sprinkle cheese on the meat. Wait about 1-2 minutes or until you are done spreading the cheese on all the tortillas.
- Then flip to crisp cheese a bit. Let cook for 2 minutes. Once it seems like the cheese isn't going to stick to the pan, you can remove, top with your favorite toppings. Add salsa and enjoy!
Notes
This is great with some fresh homemade guacamole and salsa! You can use your preferred meat: turkey, chicken, beef. It works well with all of them but don't use something too lean. For the ground turkey, go with 85% lean. Next time, try it with corn tortillas! My husband and I preferred the corn and the kiddos preferred flour. Enjoy!
