Snow Day Hot Cocoa
This hot cocoa is the perfect way to finish a fun day of sledding in the snow. Made with wholesome yet decadent ingredients, this recipe is the perfect way to share a fun treat you can feel good about giving to your kids (or yourself!)
Ingredients
- 2 cups2 cups2 cups Almond Milk, unsweetened
- 1/4 cup1/4 cup1/4 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 33 gram33 gram33 gram Chocolate Protein Powder, (1 scoop, Active Stacks brand)
- 1/2 cup1/2 cup1/2 cup Heavy Cream (Whipping Cream)
- Liquid Stevia Extract, or other sweetner, a very small amount to give a hint of sweetness to the whipped cream
- 1/4 tsp1/4 tsp1/4 tsp Cocoa Powder, for dusting, optional

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- In a medium saucepan, heat the almond milk, chocolate chips and chocolate protein powder over medium heat. Whisk to fully incorporate. When steaming, remove from heat.
- Using a small mason jar and a hand mixer with one beater, whip up the heavy cream until firm but not stiff peaks form. Incorporate a tiny amount of your favorite sweetener to make the whipped cream slightly sweet.
- Using a pair of spoons, scoop out the whipped cream with one spoon, and shaping into a quenelle. Gently slide the whipped cream quenelles into the hot chocolate and dust with cocoa powder. Serve
