Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice apples approximately ½“ thick and use a sharp knife to cut a small slit on the bottom of the slice to make inserting the stick a bit easier.
- Unwrap a caramel and flatten out on top of each slice, repeating until all slices have a caramel on it.
- Melt the chocolate and coconut oil over a double broiler (or in a microwave safe bowl in 5-10 second burst until melted) stirring to combine.
- Dip the slices in the melted chocolate (tilting the bowl as needed), letting the excess drip off then place on the parchment lined baking sheet. Repeat with all slices and allow to set up.
- These are ready to enjoy as is, but If you’re going to add the “mummy” drizzle, place the baking sheet in the fridge to allow the chocolate to set up quicker. When ready, melt the white chocolate and drizzle on top of each slice and add googly eyes if using.
- These are best the day of, but would probably still be tasty the next day if kept in the fridge overnight
- Get creative & ENJOY!!
Notes
Googly eyes can be found at most grocery stores or online markets as well as sprinkles if you choose to add that garnish.
