Spring Snack Mix
This spring snack mix, or bunny bait, or frosted muddy buddies.. whatever you like to call them.. is the perfect sweet snack for spring, or all year round. I made this over the spring and we had it to share with friends, snack on at home, and serve in small bowls when family and friends visited. It's sweet, crunchy, salty and pretty!
Ingredients
- 3.5 cup3.5 cup3.5 cup Rice Chex
- 3.5 cup3.5 cup3.5 cup Cheerios, honey nut flavor
- 1.5 cup1.5 cup1.5 cup Mini Pretzels, Salted, Itty Bitty Minis by Snyders
- 1.5 cup1.5 cup1.5 cup Peanuts, roasted and salted
- 11 oz11 oz11 oz Vanilla flavored Chips, bag, Ghirardelli
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup M&M, pastel blend
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Butterscotch Chips
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine rice Chex, cheerios, pretzels, and peanuts.
- In a small saucepan on low heat, melt the vanilla chips.
- Stir constantly until just melted and creamy.
- Pour over the cereal mixture and toss together until well coated.
- Add the M&M’s and butterscotch chips and fold them in.
- Transfer mixture to the prepared sheet pan and spread it out.
- Wait an hour or two to harden.
- Break into pieces and snack!
- I store in an airtight container on the counter.
