Sweet and Savory Bacon Wrapped Chicken Bites
Paired with a homemade sweet chili sauce! These chicken bites combine sweet caramelized brown sugar, with a kick oh cayenne, perfectly complimenting one another.
These bites are perfect for game day sharing, and the flavor is sure to wow all of your guests!
Ingredients
- 1 lb1 lb1 lb Pasture-raised Chicken Breasts - US Wellness Meats

- 1 lb1 lb1 lb Sugar-Free Pork Bacon Slices - US Wellness Meats

- .5 cup.5 cup.5 cup Brown Sugar
- 0.5 Tbsp0.5 Tbsp0.5 Tbsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Meat & Potatoes Seasoning - Primal Palate

- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Cayenne Pepper

- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Rice Vinegar
- .5 cup.5 cup.5 cup Water
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Cane Sugar
- 2 cloves2 cloves2 cloves Garlic, minced

- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Barrel Aged Tamari Soy Sauce - Jozo

- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Red Pepper Flakes, +1 tsp

- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Arrowroot Flour
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Water

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Cut chicken into 1" cubes
- Slice your thick cut bacon in half and line on a baking tray lined with parchment paper
- Mix seasoning ingredients together, then run half onto the bacon strips
- Roll 1 chicken cube up in each halved bacon strip
- Rub the remaining seasoning overtop the wrapped chicken, flip over and coat the other sides as well
- Bake at 350 for 25 minutes
- Flip, and bake an addition 10-15 minutes. Optionally, broil 1-2 minutes per side, depending how thick your bacon is and how crispy you'd like it
- Make your sauce
- Whisk water and arrowroot together in a small bowl and set aside
- Toast your red pepper flakes about 3 minutes in a small sauce pan
- Add remaining ingredients, minus your starch mixture
- Bring the mixture to a boil, and cook an additional 4 minutes, stirring regularly
- Reduce the heat to low and add your starch mixture, whisking to combine
- It will thicken as your stir, and will continue to thicken as it cools
- Allow to cool before placing in a storage container and into the fridge.
- Your sauce is good for up to 2 weeks in the fridge
