Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Cook the heart-shaped pasta in a large pot of salted water according to the package instructions. Drain, then toss with olive oil to keep it from sticking.
  2. While the pasta cooks, preheat the oven to 400° F and line a baking sheet with tin foil. Lay the prosciutto on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until crispy. Transfer the cooked prosciutto to a cutting board and dice into small pieces.
  3. Use a mini heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut the fresh mozzarella into heart shapes. If you don’t have one, simply cube the mozzarella into small bite-sized pieces.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pasta, mozzarella hearts, halved cherry tomatoes, crispy prosciutto, and fresh basil.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze. Toss gently to coat everything in the dressing. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
