Homemade Fish and Chips
I’m convinced I can take any restaurant favorite and turn it into an even better, healthier, and more delicious version at home! This version is gluten free with no inflammatory oils
Ingredients
- 4 whole4 whole4 whole Cod, Fillets
- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Eggs, Beaten
- .5 cup.5 cup.5 cup Cassava Flour
- .5 cup.5 cup.5 cup Arrowroot Flour, Or tapioca
- .5 tsp.5 tsp.5 tsp Garlic Powder
- .5 tsp.5 tsp.5 tsp Paprika
- .5 tsp.5 tsp.5 tsp Sea Salt
- .25 tsp.25 tsp.25 tsp Black Pepper
- .75 cup.75 cup.75 cup Breadcrumbs, **

Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Dip fillets in flour mixture, then egg mixture, and let excess drip off
- Then dip into breadcrumbs & seasonings mixture
- Option 1) air fry at 400 for 8-10 min
- Option 2) heat avocado skillet over medium heat on skillet, then place fillets allowing to cook for 4 minutes, flip, and cook an additional 3-4minutes
- You can simultaneously cook your fries in the oven at 400 for approx 35 minutes, or you can air fry them for about 15 minutes. Just slice potatoes of choice into fry shapes, place in a bowl to evenly coat with avocado oil, sea salt, and garlic powder, then bake and top with sprinkled parsley
- Squeeze some fresh lemon overtop & serve with tartar sauce!
Notes
You can make your own bread crumbs by toasting bread then processing until fine, or you can process your favorite gluten free crackers until a breadcrumb consistency is achieved
