High Protein Snickers Blizzard
High protein, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar FREE thick blizzard style shake! There's even hidden veggies in here too. You get dessert and nourishment in one! đ
I did a double freezing method to obtain the thickest texture possible. You can omit step 2 and enjoy right after blending for a thick smoothie versus blizzard consistency !
I used my favorite clean ingredient protein powder from Just ingredients. Code colleenF10 saves you site wide!
Ingredients
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Banana, Frozen
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Zucchini, Frozen, or cauliflower frozen (both tasteless in smoothies!)
- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Medjool Dates
- 4 Tbsp4 Tbsp4 Tbsp Chocolate Protein Powder
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Raw Cacao Powder
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Hemp Hearts
- 1 - 2 Tbsp1 - 2 Tbsp1 - 2 Tbsp Creamy Peanut Butter
- .33 cup.33 cup.33 cup Almond Milk

Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Blend everything together until creamy. Scrap down sides as needed. Don't add more liquid unless you're trying for a thinner texture
- For thicker consistency: Pour mixture into mini silicone muffin pan / ice subs tray and freeze a couple hours
- Add frozen mini cubes back to your processor or blender and blend until smooth. May need to add a splash more of milk
- Line your glass with peanut butter and/or melted chocolate and allow it to hard in the fridge for a few min
- Pour thick shake into cup, top with pb, chocolate, and/or peanuts, and enjoy!!
Notes
Can sub the veggies for another frozen banana can use any milk can sub PB for another nut butter I used my fave clean protein powder from just ingredients brand. Code colleenF10 saves you site wide!

Would this work with PB2 powder? Or would it be too thick?
It would probably work fine! The real nut butter adds some thickness but since it’s just 1-2 tbsp it shouldn’t affect the texture much
I am allergic to bananas. What can I use as a substitute for the banana in this recipe?
Cashews soaked in hot water for about 20 min to soften them, or today, or avocado when blended all help to create that creamy texture too! You could sub for about 1/2 cup of any of those
