Spinach Stew
All you need this winter is a wholesome, delicious, and well-balanced stew! This Spinach Stew is made with simple ingredients and perfect to feed a large family.
Ingredients
- 2 lb2 lb2 lb Beef Loin Sirloin Steak (Top Sirloin), Or chuck roast
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Vidalia Onion, small, finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Salt, less if desired
- 12 oz12 oz12 oz Baby Spinach
- 10 oz10 oz10 oz Tomato Paste, Or a can and a half
- 0.5 - 1 Tbsp0.5 - 1 Tbsp0.5 - 1 Tbsp ground Allspice
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Lemon, Small, juiced
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Hot Water, More, if needed

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Cut up meat into beef stew sized chunks and add to pot. Add enough water so it covers the top of the meat.
- Bring water to a boil and then scoop out any fat. Add salt, then simmer meat (lid on with a little opening) for
- 1-1.5 hrs on medium low/low (add more water, as needed while it cooks).
- About halfway through cooking meat, add diced onion to pot.
- Stir in tomato paste with 1/2 cup boiled water into pot.
- Once meat is done cooking, add baharat and spinach to pot.
- 6. Bring to a boil and then simmer on low heat for
- 20-30 minutes or until spinach is tender and liquid has thickened.
- 7. Serve over basmati rice and ENJOY!!
