  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 pan with parchment.
  2. In a bowl, whisk almond butter, sugar, coconut oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Sift in GF flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Mix until just combined.
  4. Add in chocolate chips
  5. Spread batter into pan and bake 20–25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with fudgy crumbs.
  6. Cool completely.
  7. For the Topping:
  8. add all ingredients into a blender or food processor.
  9. Pulse until dates and pecans start to chop
  10. Keep blending until smooth/slightly chunky for a thicker texture
  11. Spread the coconut-pecan topping over the cooled brownies.
  12. Slice and enjoy!
