Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Follow the directions on the back of the Gf Jules bread mix. I used a bread maker to knead my dough because work smarter than harder haha
- Add in water, olive oil and aquafaba into the breader maker
- Then add in the bread flour mix and create a well
- Add in the sugar and yeast until the well and allow the dough to be kneaded for 10 minutes
- In a bowl add diced apples, lemon juice, apple pie spice and cinnamon sugar spice. Stir until apple pieces are fully coated
- Add the spiced diced apples and allow the dough to knead for another 10 minutes
- Place dough into a bowl and seal with saran wrap in a warm place for 30 minutes
- Your dough should double in size
- Place dough onto a floured surface and cut into 8 equal parts
- Roll each portion into a ball and use your thumb to create a hole in the middle
- Let the dough rest and covered for 10 minutes
- To a large pot add in baking soda and salt and boil on high heat
- One by one boil each bagel for 15 seconds and place on a large baking sheet (they should puff up in size)
- Create egg wash in a small bowl and brush the top of each bagel with it
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
- You can leave the tops of your bagels plain or use the cinnamon sugar topping (I played around with different toppings and crumbles and keeping it simple faired best)
- Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes
- Allow the bagels to fully cool before cutting into them or placing in an airtight container
