Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Follow the directions on the back of the Gf Jules bread mix. I used a bread maker to knead my dough because work smarter than harder haha
  2. Add in water, olive oil and aquafaba into the breader maker
  3. Then add in the bread flour mix and create a well
  4. Add in the sugar and yeast until the well and allow the dough to be kneaded for 10 minutes
  5. In a bowl add diced apples, lemon juice, apple pie spice and cinnamon sugar spice. Stir until apple pieces are fully coated
  6. Add the spiced diced apples and allow the dough to knead for another 10 minutes
  7. Place dough into a bowl and seal with saran wrap in a warm place for 30 minutes
  8. Your dough should double in size
  9. Place dough onto a floured surface and cut into 8 equal parts
  10. Roll each portion into a ball and use your thumb to create a hole in the middle
  11. Let the dough rest and covered for 10 minutes
  12. To a large pot add in baking soda and salt and boil on high heat
  13. One by one boil each bagel for 15 seconds and place on a large baking sheet (they should puff up in size)
  14. Create egg wash in a small bowl and brush the top of each bagel with it
  15. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
  16. You can leave the tops of your bagels plain or use the cinnamon sugar topping (I played around with different toppings and crumbles and keeping it simple faired best)
  17. Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes
  18. Allow the bagels to fully cool before cutting into them or placing in an airtight container

Notes

If you don't want to buy the gf jules mix you can try using my two ingredient bagel recipe with the same steps minus the bread mixer.
