Carrot Cake Donuts
Looking for a post-workout snack that tastes like dessert but supports your recovery goals? This carrot cake-inspired treat is one of my favorites as a registered dietitian. It’s naturally sweetened, packed with fiber-rich oats and almond flour, and loaded with shredded carrots for a sneaky veggie boost. With balanced carbs, healthy fats, and easy ways to boost the protein, it’s perfect for muscle repair and energy replenishment. Pair it with a protein shake or eggs for a complete recovery meal, and yes, the cream cheese frosting is 100% encouraged.
