Dark Chocolate Drizzled Maple Caramel Stuffed Dates (Edit recipe)

You can find stuffed date recipes all over the internet and social media, but THESE! These are made with maple-caramel almond butter which is sweet, salty and crunchy. It gives a lot of flavor and texture to this simple snack, but you can use any nut or seed butter to make it easily at home!

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice one side of each date and open them up.
  3. Take 1/2tbsp-1tbsp nut butter and place in each date. It shouldn’t spill over.
  4. Place in freezer for 1 hour.
  5. Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil on low heat in a small saucepan.
  6. Remove dates from freezer.
  7. Drizzle chocolate over each date.
  8. Return to freezer for 10 minutes, or until chocolate hardens.
  9. Store in fridge and enjoy!

Notes

The prep time in this recipe is higher than normal because of the time we want to allow to freeze the nut butter filled dates. Otherwise, this recipe is super simple and doesn't require any baking!   You can use any nut butter, but it just won't have that maple caramel flavor.
